Vita

Sabine Mahr studied translation with a specialization in technology, completed the part-time contact course in technical documentation at Karlsruhe University of Applied Sciences, and started technical writing in the telecommunications industry in 1998. Since 2003 she has been working freelance, especially for network operators. She is involved in the standardization of technical communication, on the international level as the convener of IEC/TC 3/JWG 16, Maintenance of IEC 82079 series. In German standardization, she acts as the convenor of the national committee DIN NA 105-00-07, Terminology - Technical Communication. She also participates in the Working Group Development of iiRDS, the metadata standard for technical communication.
