Jens-Uwe Heuer-James studied law in Hanover, Germany. He has been admitted to the German Bar in 1996. He works for the Luther's commercial department as a partner since December 2011 . In addition to working as a lawyer, he has published numerous articles dealing with „Product Compliance“.  

Jens-Uwe Heuer-James advises on all issues pertaining to commercial law. He specializes in drafting and negotiating complex contracts as well as claim management. Another focus of his work is advising on Product Compliance issues, particularly on specific topics such as CE conformity assessment and technical documentation. The work for tekom and tekom Europe did start in 1998. Since this time Mr. Heuer-James is running the “tekom-Rechtsdienst” and is providing the tekom organization with seminars and lectures dealing with the legal aspect of technical documentation; his is also founding member of the  German ‘Beirat Recht und Normen’ and the tekom Europe ‘Advisory Board for Regulations and Standards.
