Content
The world of technical communication is shifting its focus from PDF output to digital-first, mobile first or intelligent content.
This is needed to ensure that content can be published on any platform, without the need to worry about the specific publication format. In order to achieve this, we also need to pay special attention to the visuals we create.
Our goal must be to create future-proof content, so also future-proof visuals that can be published in any required form. To map this future-proof approach on the visuals we produce, we need a streamlined and structured visualization pipeline.
There is a need to create these intelligent visuals, based on the 3D CAD files. These visuals can be used in e.g. service, assembly and spare part publications, turned into clickable images that guide users to related technical information within Content Delivery Platforms, can be used to create interactive training material or to create a technical information digital twin.
By creating intelligent visuals, we can enhance the user experience and deliver content in a more engaging and interactive manner.
Takeaways
As part of our overall information strategy, we need to implement a visualization pipeline. This will enable us to streamline the content creation workflow and to produce intelligent visuals efficiently over multiple silos.
Optimize the reuse of 3D CAD data in combination with CCMS content as scenarios to create reusable visualizations like illustrations, (3D) animations and video’s for any output format.
